Preparing for 2026: A New Era for Dutch Staffing Agencies
The Dutch labor market is entering a new phase. Beginning January 1, 2026, the Dutch Labor Leasing Authorization Act (Wtta) will require all staffing and labor leasing companies in the Netherlands to obtain a mandatory license. This change will:
- Require a €100,000 financial guarantee to ensure financial stability
- Enforce compliance with labor laws and ethical employment practices
- Make clients liable from 2027 for using only licensed providers
This new regulation raises standards across the industry and makes room for professional and reliable staffing partners.
